CASE STUDIES - SHARPS REMOVAL

Area: Glasgow, City Centre

Cleanscene Trauma were approached by the client and asked to perform a sharps removal sweep in the centre of Glasgow, as you can see from the images below the area was rough ground and a fairly wideopen space.

After donning our protective suits, our operatives performed an initial walkthrough - identifying discarded needles by eye and spraying with a special disinfecting solution which killed any micro organisms before removal of the needles.

Once the needles had been removed we needed to dismantle and remove the "drug dens" to ensure they did not return the same evening.

We identified, disinfected, cleared and disposed of somewher in the region of 1000 discarded sharps in a 2 day period.
